Last call for HALF OFF Buffalo Wild Wings TUESDAY!!

Hello world! Who here doesn't love options?! Raise thy hands!!

If you don't, that's crazy talk! Who wouldn't?! Throw some wings into the equation and viola! You are in for an amazing treat! So today we'll be talking about Buffalo Wild Wings. They currently have 4 branches you can choose from

They have 12 signature sauces and some 5 dry seasonings for you to choose from. The possibilities are endless here my man!

But don't panic!

They won't leave you guessing and dying to wish you can order them all because you can do a TASTE TEST! Now ain't that great?

Below are the sauces up close from the tamest and to the wildest (left to right). I have personally tasted them all and trust be, the battle begins when you have to choose just ONE (there were a couple of great contenders).

Now if you are a tough cookie and you are up for a challenge.. oooh they have something BIG in store for you!

Now that we are done with the appetizer. Let us talk about serving sizes.

If it's a slow lonely night for you their 5 piece snack size might do the trick! (Side note : I don't think so! this will never be enough) Their 10 piece is the LEAST you should get 'coz their wings are amazing, even if you are eating alone.
Snack size - at least 5 for Php 325
But if you and your friends are tied to the hip, one large size won't do (by the measure of friends I always have with me). But hey it's a sports bar, so the more the merrier right?!

Large - at least 20 pcs for Php 1145

But if wings aren't your thing (not sure what you'll be doing inside. KIDDING!) they have tons of other things for you to choose from like salads, wraps, flatbreads (I prefer to call them fancy pizza), burgers and sandwiches but most of all they have a

"BUILD YOUR OWN"

Oh I almost forgot they do have something for the kiddies too! Like traditional wings, cheese flatbread, naked tenders or mini corn dogs. I've always wondered.. is it weird for a full grown adult to order a kiddie meal? Those corn dogs sounds so freaking good!

But no meal of mine will ever be complete without dessert. I love me some good cake and or ice cream. I can have my cake and eat it too (grown up baby speaking here). Their chocolate fudge cake is super moist and it is drizzled with chocolate sauce, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Perfect combination if you ask me!

Chocolate Fudge Cake - Php 325

Sports bar.. So if there's like an upcoming NBA game or another big boxing match, the 1st place you must remember to go to is BUFFALO WILD WINGS! The ambiance is just simply amazing. Service is amazing. Perfect place to get those adrenaline pumping! Oh they do have beer and again they'll give you options. They have both domestic and imports and most of all CRAFTS.

I don't know if most of you guys know of National Sports Grill. I used to frequent that place like crazy but sadly they have closed down already. I felt right at home there and it's nice that finally I have found a new home. WOOT WOOT!!

Money well spent at : 8 STREET BITES at SM Manila

Back when I was still in high school, I would always love to go to Sm Manila. I would be there almost 3 times a week, which would be a lot for a high school student right? I don't know why but I just really loved eating out even on a school night!

So even on a school night or on a work day, Sm Manila would always be filled with people from different offices near by like from the City Hall or the schools near by like PUP or Adamson. I was so used to the crowd that it was a shocker to me that on this fateful Saturdate, there were barely any people.

But even if it has really been a long while. The stores were pretty much the same but the restaurants.. It was news to me!

I was  a little melancholy but somewhat happy. I was actually craving for some good BRASO DE MERCEDES from REYES (which is now sadly gone!). But it was truly a blessing in disguise.

I was now on a mission to find a new place to eat at.

Sm Manila is a little place and if I put it to will, I can finish roaming the place in less than an hour.

On the 4th floor, I noticed the biggest change. There were a couple of great places to eat at like RED TABLE, SEAFOOD ISLAND, ARISTOCRAT, KEBABERS, but what caught my attention was :

What is it about the number 8? It seems like the number 8 is making it's mark on the industry. Eight this and 8 that. Did they forget about lucky 9? Lol

Wagyu Burger Madness at Village Tavern

I have been to Village Tavern once before this, but it seemed like I ordered all the wrong things. To be honest, my first visit there wasn't that good of an experience and I told myself I wasn't going back.

Although, I love how the place looked like. I am actually a frustrated interior designer. Me and my dreams. Leaving that aside. The place is really classy and it is upscale.

I love the place looked modern yet it had a cottage-y feeling to it. You know with animal antlers and all that. I was actually hoping that there would be a cozy fire place somewhere I could sit next to and roast marshmallows in (Is it weird? Haha). It's totally got that Red Riding Hood and the big bad wolf feeling for me.

It would be totally cool to visit the other branches in the States where they got a real fire place burning! :)

But even if I didn't have a good first time there, I am glad that I did come back or else I would have missed out on a lot.

Village Tavern, well you wouldn't actually see the place immediately or clearly from a far (if you weren't looking for it). It is located at the edge of Bonifacio High Street right across where Jamba Juice, Slice, Cotton On is and even if it is located there, I think it is the perfect spot for it. You'll get what I mean when you see it.

For starters, if I had this COWBOY CHIPS (P450) when I first tried this place out. I would not stop coming back. Even if it is just for this alone.

I would love to have this with me each and EVERY TIME I get to watch a movie. Seriously it is just that good! I cant' believe how crazy I am about this. The potato chips from Taters didn't even stand a chance!

The Monterey Jack cheese, Cheddar cheese together with the bacon bits were oscillating in perfect harmony with the deep fried crispy potato slices!

Food Ecstasy is what it is. A piece of heaven in every bite! It means that it is just so good because I forgot the fact that I hate cheese and ate away!

But we weren't here for the appetizers.

TEQUILA BURGER
P650
We were here for their burgers! By burgers, I don't mean just any burger, you shouldn't be expecting a P200 burger or a buy 1 take 1 burger for P30! These One Direction boys are way way better!

Even if I have a big appetite when in the mood. Simply staring at the burgers made me feel full. Can you imagine 4 big WAGYU patties with its tight buns staring at you and saying "EAT ME!"?

It is hard. It was a fatal attraction from beginning to end.

But out of all the four. Their TEQUILA BURGER (P650) was my favorite. Not sure if I tasted any tequila (have no idea what it tastes like), but it was a good sign that I was still walking straight after the burger. Kidding! It was just tequila mayonnaise after all, DUH!

The taste was really good and my favorite kicker was the jalapenos! I love a spicy meal even if it opens up my sweat glands and makes me feel like I am baking in the oven. It was surprisingly not that crazy spicy (for me) and even if it was infused with habanero and cheddar cheese, I still loved it!

Great burger!

The next super star is..

REUBEN BURGER
P595
The REUBEN BURGER (P595), this is the Pickiest Eater's favorite. I seriously cannot say the same. I love a good corned beef and fried egg for breakfast.

But not so crazy about corned beef with fried egg, Gruyere cheese and a giant Wagyu patty. I felt a little queasy after eating it. Actually I felt queasy even before I ate it. It was a trap I cannot escape.

But! We all have our own likes and dislikes. Heard it was the BEST SELLER! So, I might actually have bad taste. Haha

I feel full already, don't you?

A little behind the scene for THE PICKIEST EATER

I love burgers but I don't stand a chance eating it simultaneously. So.. here is a little something else you need to try from Village Tavern..

Their CHICKEN SKEWER (P245) was a total hit for me. These were made from chicken breasts, but the texture was so far from it. It was so juicy and soft unlike most chicken breast parts (Hey, this is a rated G post! Wipe that smirk off your face).

So it comes with a little mixed greens with Miso dressing which Rina totally loved!

The photo doesn't do justice to the Cowboy chips and I am so sorry for that. But I swear it is really good. I am totally in love with it. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT and tell me what you think!

But be careful of the plate because it is hot and fresh from the oven.

Now that we had a burger breather.. Back to business.

The TRUFFLE BURGER (P625)! Even as I write, I can still feel the burgers wandering around in my tummy (and it just feels weird I tell you).

Their Truffle burger is made of premium WAGYU beef paired with a rich truffle mayonnaise, topped with asiago cheese and sauteed shitake mushrooms. As you can see, they didn't skimp out on the ingredients. Nothing but the finest for you and me!

TRUFFLE BURGER
P625
Now here is the last but not least!

The FOIE GRAS BURGER (P890). Sounds fancy right? Fancy is its middle name and P890 is its last name! But we all know that we get what we pay for. It is made of premium WAGYU beef topped with Gruyere cheese, red wine, braised onions and seared foie gras. Nothing could be better than that. It was probably my 2nd favorite!

FOIE GRAS BURGER
P890
If you think that the price a little hefty.. It is a good idea to get yourself a BISTRO PREMIERE CARD and have a 20% off your bill. A little price to pay, but totally worth it!

TGIFridays : Delightful TEX MEX Menu, it will surely make you want some more!

I think everybody who is works wishes that it was Friday everyday, right?! Not so sure how people would make money though, but still, it is an ideal thought to a lot of lazy bones out there (including me of course!). Although, it would not be so great of a thing for work-a-holics. But if it is possible that it would be Friday all the time, sign me up baby!

Well in TGIFridays, it is always Friday! I always loved how cheery the place is. It is just such a great place to be at. It kind of feels like a great place to be at after a bad break up. Haha I don't know why that even came to mind. But the red color from the place, to the uniforms, to the decor makes the place feel so alive and full of life! It feels like HAPPY BIRTHDAY all day, everyday!

I have always loved eating at Fridays. Ever since I was a little girl, eating at Fridays has always been somewhat of a treat. Back then, the prices at Fridays were really way above other restaurants. But as of now, it is not way above that bracket anymore. Let us face it, eating out these days are pretty heavy on the wallet.

But now that I have my "THE BISTRO GROUP PREMIERE CARD". I definitely made up for the time lost.

So, let us start with my favorite! My icing on the cake.

CALIBURGER Experience : It won't be complete without their WILD STYLE FRIES

I am one for burgers! I love a good burger. Who doesn't?

Even if it is not an ideal thing to order on a date, I would still go for it (if the crave arises).

I don't mind acting like myself on a first date. I mean I don't eat like a pig or whatever. So, I have nothing to hide.

But I've always wondered :
Why do people act weird on a first date?
Why act "over" poised? (This is actually how you end up clumsier than you already are.)

I mean, if he likes you, he likes you. If he doesn't, he doesn't. Just be yourself because you will never be anyone else, not even with plastic surgery. You would still be you, no matter what, well not unless you are bipolar.

For me it is crazy that people who are in the "dating" stage always pretends to be something they are not. Always best foot forward, always dressed fancy, bla bla bla..

I think this is one of the reasons why people end up divorced or crying in a corner 5 years later. No matter what you do, eventually, the true you will show.

No matter how much you bury it in, or layer on top of it, the nooks and crannies WILL eventually show.

I am side tracking again!

So back to business. Everyone has been raving about CALIBURGER. I see it in all my newsfeeds, be it on instagram, twitter or facebook - FLOODED.

And there is nothing that makes me want to try out a new food more than a good picture of it in the middle of the night!

I think it's the only reasons that I actually get up in the morning.

Caliburger got me really curious and it sent me straight to CENTURY MALL, but they have their 2nd branch in Timog (Right across GMA).

The mall itself is fairly small. Nothing big like Glorietta or MOA. You can finish the whole place in 2 hours.

I finished roaming the place in less than an hour and I was starting to wonder why I still haven't seen Caliburger. I was actually starting to wonder if I was even in the right place.

If I didn't bother going up the last flight of escalator, I would not have dined at Caliburger, good thing I was as resilient as a hungry lion!

As it turns out, Caliburger sits on top of the mall. On the 4th floor to be exact, you have to walk out towards the open space to get there.

Angel's Pizza : A taste of heaven, sent straight to your doorstep

I love pizza! I love ALMOST all types and kinds of pizza's. It is one of the easiest thing you can eat on the go. I like normal pizza's. I am not on the "thin crust" or "stuffed crusts" wagon. Kind of kills the pizza vibe for me, I like the good old average Joe's pizza.

What's your go to pizza when you are craving one? There are dozens of pizza chains and even pizza carts out there. You might be surprised but my top 3's are Pizza Hut, Lotsa Pizza and Angel's Pizza. Some of you might not even know the latter exists.

I remember when I was a kid, my family would always order Pizza Hut but I didn't eat any veggies before, and what they always ordered was the Super Supreme. Since they know me well, they would all kindly leave the crusts for me to eat. Scavenger kid. Haha! It took me a lot of growing up before I eventually ate the harmless bell pepper, onion, blah blah..

When I finally did. My love for pizza grew more and more! I loved how easy it is to find a Pizza Hut booth because it is scattered across the Metro. No need to spend a couple of hundreds just to have a slice. Since it's only P55.00 for 2 slices.

I lived on Pizza Hut's bacon and cheese for a while in UST. I am not complaining that I always eat Pizza Hut (in fact I actually like it), but I am complaining that it is gone. UST is a pizza friendly zone. I mean it! Every corner you turn to there is a pizza place or booth at least. We have Yellow Cab and Pizza Hut at Lacson, Shakey's at Espana, Sicilian at Dapitan, Chansel inside UST's car park, Pizza carts outside the gates of USt and lastly El Bonito at the UST's old gym. I wonder if it is still there now that the gym is gone.

While we were hanging around Rosarito in Dapitan, a man came up to my friends and was carrying some sort of a Coupon Card (Valid for 6 months only) for ANGEL's PIZZA (which I asked about, but they can only be bought from the roaming agents that go house to house and not from the store itself, too bad because this was the best deal). I have no idea why the guys bought it but they did or maybe I do. We all haven't tried Angel's Pizza. But the coupon's seemed to be very promising and makes each order worth the money.

Since whenever we celebrate birthdays, we order pizza. It was a great deal for all of us! Especially to the one celebrating his/her birthday! :)

What's great about them is that their prices are super affordable, worth it and lastly OVERLOADED WITH TOPPINGS! No need to pay for extra toppings 'coz it is already over flowing!

Medium sized pizza - 9 inches - P269.00 to P340.00
Family sized pizza - 12 inches - P366.00 to P470.00
Big Family sized pizza - 14 inches - P431.00 to P599.00
Angel's Double pizza - 14 inches - P647.00

Since it has been a while since I last had Angel's Pizza, I decided to order one for the insomniac nights I am having.

I when I sea-food, I eat at FISH AND CO.

Bistro group has always produced the best and the finest restaurants. Their company is so big that you get to see them everywhere you turn. There is no escaping it. They sit side by side usually and you can never look away. They are just so inviting that you can't say no. What I love about them is that whichever branch you visit you get these things all the time, every time :

Let us see the things they got on "The Check List" :
  • Big Generous Servings.
  • Big and Heavy Plates
  • Large Menu's.
  • Friendly Staff
  • Super Discounts
  • Amazing Promos
  • Great Birthday Treats
  • Drooling Desserts
What more could you ask for? I remembered when Fish and Co. first opened. My family and I can't seem to have enough of their restaurant, let along their BEST FISH AND CHIPS. When you look at it. It looks so simple. Fish and breading = TADA! So simple that I even feel like I can whip it up in my sleep. But to be exact, in my dreams. I can't in reality. If I did the fish would turn to chips and the chips would be dust!

I've always wanted to be a lot of things. But I've never dreamed of being a chef. I like food. I appreciate food. But I am no cook. But it was when my loving yaya left to get married that I needed to start cooking for myself. Just the little things of course. Stuffs like fried egg, hot dog and frozen dumplings are all that I can cook. I can't cook a decent meal, not even to save my life. I have always relied on frozen foods or take out to survive midnight hunger.

My mom would always call me a "rat" since I would usually look for food in the middle of the night. In the dead of night, you would hear pots and refrigerator doors banging. If your imagination is wild, you might just think there are ghosts wrecking the kitchen or there was an intruder. But in reality it would just be a hungry kid squandering for food.

Fish and Co.'s restaurant is really more about fish and seafood. They have loads of seafood items in their menu. Have I mentioned that my family loves seafood. On family gatherings alone we would consume several kilos of crabs and shrimps. Everyone would sit on the table for hours at a time until there is nothing more to eat.

By the way, our family has CHEF NG to thank for our diet buster meals. He cooks way better than 5 star hotel chefs! We all keep telling him to just open up a restaurant, but he refuses as there are so many things to do and consider if you open one.

What is great about Fish and Co. is that they have a lot of set meals to choose from. They are great especially to families with big numbers. When it first opened we would eat there like clock work. It was great at first, but we eventually got tired of it.

It has really been a long time since we last ate there. When we lined up it was as always packed with rows and rows of families dining. Had to wait a while. To be honest I was a little excited (NO! REALLY excited) since I can see that there has been a few things that are new in their menu and this is what I love. This is what excites me.

We have ordered so much food and I was wondering if I would still be ordering their Fish and chips. Even after a long time I can still remember how blown away I get in each and every bite. The fish is good, but their sauce makes it even better! Their tartar sauce isn't really the same as the ones in the supermarket. We have tried so many brands but still no luck! We still haven't found their secret. I know how my mom loves it when we add garlic to their tartar sauce and that other thing. It gives this spicy kick to it that makes the food taste even better. But I didn't order it anymore since we ordered their Seafood Platter already. Too bad :(

I love bundled up appetizers. I love how they put all my favorite little things together. Ordering starters usually ends up stuffing me up that I wish I hadn't ordered anything else. It makes me turn into a gremlin and wishes that I wouldn't have to share this with other people I am dining with (Evil hahahahaha laugh!). FISH AND CO STARTER SAMPLER is P 595.00 got it all, it has tacos, fried shrimp that was HEAVENLY I might say especially the dip too bad there were 4 of us. So it had to be 1 shrimp for 1 person :( The starter plate also has fried calamari and salad.

Fish and Co. Starter Sampler
P 595.00
I was looking through the menu. I saw that they serve SOFT FISH TACO. I was kinda curious, wouldn't you be? I was sort of craving something "Mexican-y". Good thing they had one in stock! :)

Soft Fish Taco
When the server placed down the plate. My eyes widen as I was really disappointed. Especially for something around P400.00 if I remember it correctly. In the description in the menu it it will be served with 2 pieces of soft taco's with nachos. My thought was not bad at least there are 2 tacos. But when I opened it up to see what was inside of the taco. I was sad. There was 2 pieces of tiny fish lings on one taco, and just 1 for the other taco. Felt like I ordered wrappers and veggies.

The skinny insides of Soft Fish Taco
What is I love about ordering her is that most orders here is that it either comes with gigantic fries or rice. We ordered their small SEAFOOD PLATTER for P 795.00. For 4 pieces of shrimp, grilled fish, calamari, fries and rice.

(Small) SEAFOOD PLATTER
P795.00
Since my dad loves pork. We ordered their GRILLED PORK BELLY for P 395.00 it was the most disappointing one of all. I love belly. It is suppose to be really juicy and soft. But it was a little over cooked, it was dried out and hard to chew. It was the only thing we had to wrap for take out just because nobody really liked it.

Grilled Pork Belly
P 395.00
After evaluation, 2 good 2 bad. It's a great place to eat, maybe the cook was just a little bit off his A game. Or was it just bad choices on my part? But I will still definitely come back to this place. Coz I love their FISH AND CHIPS SO MUCH!!

After ordering everything we expected that the bill would be a shocker, but since I have their BISTRO PREMIERE CARD that takes 20% of the bill, really makes a difference! The card comes with a lot of perks too! Will blog about it if I get the new card, as mine is about to expire already!

I swear that this is super "SULIT". I will tell you all about it next time! :)

The Clubhouse @ Robinson's Magnolia

What comes to mind when you hear the word clubhouse? Is it the one on trees in backyards? Is it the place where you meet and hang out with your friends? Is it the sandwich you order at restaurants? Is it the place with the swimming pools? Is it the place where birthday parties are held? It can be a lot of different things. It is a lot of things to us. This is where memories are made and this is what "the clubhouse" delivers.

After a days work. Everybody deserves a good meal. But good isn't the best! It has been a while since we ate here and since my dad and I are finished running around Greenhills Shopping Center.
